1. What skills does DONG Energy have in terms of running a customer focused business?
   We have a proven track record in Denmark with approx. 6.500 B2B customers and almost 1 million household customers. We also have experience from the Dutch, Swedish and German markets.
2. Why would UK trade customers buy natural gas from a Danish company?
   DONG Energy is already an established player in the UK energy market. We have substantial positions in offshore wind, gas generation and oil and gas exploration. We also have a powerful profile in the fields of energy consultancy, customer service, and reliable energy supplies.
3. Will you offer more than natural gas??
   Yes, we will look to enhance the products and services in due course. It is our intention to offer our customers electricity as well as natural gas. But right now our primary ambition is to secure Shell Gas Direct customers a smooth transition, with no interruption to their service.
4. Is DONG Energy going to extend its reach into the consumer retail market?
   No, we are not. Our focus will be to continue the first class service provided by the company.
5. When will Shell Gas Direct’s customers be incorporated in DONG Energy?
   Customers will transfer automatically on completion which is expected early in the new year.
6. What are you going to do to increase market share?
   We will do everything in our power to maintain and improve the company’s excellent service, as well as bringing knowledge and new solutions from several European markets which I hope existing and new customers will find interesting.
7. Will the acquisition herald massive price increases?
   No, absolutely not. Our ambition is to deliver excellent service and provide new attractive opportunities to our customers.
8. Will you move functions to Denmark?
   No, that is not our plan. We need an organisation with expert knowledge about the UK market, close to its customers. Our new business in the UK will be staying in the present location in London.
9. What is the ongoing strategy for the business?
   Our focus for sales is to continue to provide the first class service currently enjoyed under Shell Gas Direct and to extend the product range in the future. In our worldwide business we will continue to concentrate on our core businesses of generation, exploration and sales. This latest move underpins our commitment to the UK.
