Development
DONG Energy UK’s position in the West of Shetland is unique, with a direct interest in all the existing potential developments in the region, including the Laggan Tormore development which was approved in early 2010 and is now under construction.

The development challenges in this region differ from other parts of the UK Continental Shelf. There is very little existing infrastructure and the environment is harsh with over 1000m water depth, strong currents and high winds. A key challenge is to construct an optimal infrastructure of pipelines and terminals to maximise value and production.
At the asset level, our current non-operated focus is on bringing the Laggan and Tormore fields through the development phase and into production, as well as maturing the Rosebank and Cambo fields through conceptual engineering towards project sanction. The operated activities are presently concentrated on evaluating development concepts for the Glenlivet field.
During the next few years we will actively seek to sanction all our discoveries, providing plenty of challenging development activity for many years to come.
