From Shell Gas Direct to DONG Energy Sales UK

In continuance of the company announcements on 18 October 2011, DONG Energy can
now announce that the acquisition of Shell Gas Direct from Shell UK has been
completed.

DONG Energy acquired Shell Gas Direct for GBP 30 mill. equivalent to
approximately DKK 260 million.

“In the new company, DONG Energy Sales UK, our primary objective right now is
to secure the customers a smooth transition and continue the first class
service provided so far. We will strive to enhance the service with new
offerings and tailored consulting,” says Executive Vice President Lars Clausen,
DONG Energy.

With an annual supply of around 2.5 billion cubic metres of natural gas DONG
Energy Sales is now among the largest business-to-business gas retail companies
in the UK. Situated in London the company has approximately 130 employees and a
business-to-business market share of 11%.

DONG Energy is already an established player in the UK with offshore wind
farms, a gas-fired power station and oil and natural gas exploration.

previous financial guidance for the 2012 financial year or the announced
