DONG Energy is one of the leading offshore wind farm developers in the UK. It currently operates Barrow, Burbo Bank and Gunfleet Sands offshore wind farms.
DONG Energy is either fully or part owner of London Array, Gunfleet Sands I and II and Gunfleet Sands demo, Walney I and II, West of Duddon Sands, Westermost Rough, Lincs, Wigtown Bay and Burbo Bank and Walney Extension offshore wind farms.

Burbo Bank Offshore Wind Farm
The 90 MW Burbo Bank offshore wind farm is located on Burbo Bank in Liverpool Bay. It comprises 25 turbines, each capable of producing a maximum expected power output of 3.6 MW. The project is fully owned by DONG Energy. The 234MW capacity Burbo Bank extension awarded in May 2010 will cover an area of 40km2.

Gunfleet Sands I & II Offshore Wind Farm
Gunfleet Sands Offshore Wind Farm is located approximately 7km south-east of Clacton-on-Sea, Essex. The project contains 48 turbines and is fully operational. The project is fully owned by DONG Energy.

London Array Offshore Wind Farm
The London Array Offshore wind farm will be located more than 20km (12 miles) from the Kent and Essex coasts in the outer Thames Estuary. A consortium called London Array Limited is developing the project. The company has three shareholders; DONG Energy (50%), EON (30%) and Masdar (20%). Concession allows for generating capacity of up to 1000 MW and up to 341 turbines, with a first phase envisaged to encompass 175 turbines and a generating capacity of 630 MW.

Walney Offshore Wind Farm
The Walney offshore wind farm is located 14 km west of Isle of Walney in the East Irish Sea. The 367MW capacity offshore wind farm is a joint venture between DONG Energy (75%) and SSE (25%).

Walney Offshore Wind Farm Extension
In May 2010 the 750MW capacity Walney extension was awarded. The extension will cover an area of 146km2 and is fully owned by DONG Energy.
West of Duddon Sands Offshore Wind Farm
The West of Duddon Sands offshore Wind Farm is located 13 km West of Isle of Walney in the East Irish Sea. Project partners are DONG Energy, with one third ownership and and Scottish Power with two thirds ownership. Concession allows for generating capacity of up to 500 MW and up to 140 turbines.
Westermost Rough Offshore Wind Farm
The Westermost Rough project will be located in the Wash about 8 km off the Holderness Coast, Yorkshire. The project will have a capacity of 180-240 MW.

The Lincs project is located off the coast of Skegness and has a capacity of 250MW. Project partners are Centrica (50%), DONG Energy (25%), Seimens PV (25%).
